After a good old robbery series, the 2 men killed a sheriff and left the town so they wouldn’t be caught. Ma Baker and her new partner traveled with them, which made a lot of people think that she was the boss of the gang.
There were also people who knew her well and said that it was impossible for such a good woman to get involved in these sorts of atrocities. They added that she wasn’t a criminal, but she just didn’t get involved in what her boys were up to.
However, there are many films and books about her life, and all of them depict her as the notorious Barker gang boss. Whether she was a crook or not, we guess we’ll never find out what the truth is!
