6. Stonewall Jackson was afflicted with hypochondria
How many things do we really know about the important figures of the war? A few were made public and definitely raised some eyebrows. One of them is about Thomas Jonathan “Stonewall” Jackson, the confederate general during the Civil War.
Despite the fact that he was a brave man (actually, many considered him as one of the best generals America has ever had) with many great strategies for winning and leading a battle, Stonewall was a total hypochondriac.
People who were close to him said that he refused to spice his food with pepper because it seemed to make his left leg weaker and he couldn’t function properly on the battlefield because of it. Once, when he accidentally got shot, he lifted an arm, allowing the blood to flow down into his body and restore balance.
And because he didn’t have good eyesight, he tried a natural remedy by putting his head under water and holding it there for a second while he had his eyes open.
7. Before William Tecumseh Sherman became a great Union general, he was called “insane”
In 1861, William T. Sherman, who was the commander of the Union Army in Kentucky, told his secretary that he needed around 60,000 men to help him defend the country and another 200,000 to go on the offensive.
Because the request sounded so absurd, everybody insisted on removing him from the lead position. Later on, in 1862, he was reassigned under Ulysses S. Grant, who considered him a great person and a valuable general.

You should send this part of the article to the part of The Republican Party that are trying to take voting rights and other freedoms away from people. ( Especially Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump).
I’m surprised that there is no constitutional amendment providing for how any state can leave the United States or stating secession can’t be done.
