Famous gunmen were invited to perform in shows
Imagine how it would be like to see a stage play in New York City, only to see Buffalo Bill Cody and Wild Bill Hickok recalling long tales around a campfire. Well, what does it sound like? Because that’s exactly what happened.
It was Cody who came up with the idea of a traveling show called Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, and there were numerous cast members involved, out of which the most famous was Hickok. Of course, there weren’t just stage shows. They managed to stage buffalo hunts and recreations of some of the most well-known events, such as a stagecoach robbery.
