3. Ian Brady and Myra Hindley

5 children, ages 10 to 17, were tortured, assaulted, and then murdered by a serial killer couple, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. As the murderers buried their victims in Saddleworth Moor, these crimes, which took place in England between 1963 and 1965, are also known as the “Moors Murderers.”

The man and woman met while they were working together in a factory and they quickly realized that they had a lot in common, and they began dating. One of the things they both enjoyed was violence, so they started making strange plans together.

The 1st person they killed was a 16-year-old girl named Pauline Reade, who was on her way to a dance that night. Myra knew this girl, and when she saw her, she asked the young Reade to help her look for a missing glove. Little did she know that she was never going to dance again. She was assaulted and then killed by the couple, and her body was buried in a shallow grave and wasn’t discovered for 20 years.

They tricked the last four victims by asking for help and offering them a ride. What’s interesting about them is that in their last murder, they were helped by another person. However, the witness didn’t feel very good about what they did, so they alerted the police.

Given the fact that they buried their victims in Saddleworth Moor, the police had a difficult time discovering the remains of the victims. In 1985, after Brady said the truth about 2 of his crimes, the Moors Murderers were taken separately to that place to help the authorities dig up the bodies. The man died in 2017 at Ashworth, at the age of 79, and the woman died at the West Suffolk Hospital, at the age of 60, in 2002.
