4. Karla Homolka and Paul Kenneth Bernardo
Karla Leanne Homolka and Paul Kenneth Bernardo were thought to be just two lovers who had decided to get engaged when they committed their 1st assault and murder at the beginning of the 1990s. However, their love was weird and twisted, as one thing they had in common was their passion for killing.
The 1st victim of the killer couple was Karla’s younger sister. Homolka gave her sibling drugs and then restrained her in order to assist her partner in assaulting her. What’s even more bizarre is the fact that they recorded everything on film. They murdered Karla’s sister, then committed other crimes before they were captured.
Karla testified against Paul to obtain a lesser sentence after he received a life term. After spending 12 years in prison, she was freed, and in 2007, she got married again.
