What not many people know about Bonnie Parker is that as an adult, the girl was very talented at writing poetry, and she created a piece called “The Story of Suicide Sal,” which then finished with “The Trail’s End.” The latter one is better known as “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” as her verses mention that she and her lover will be buried next to each other.
Speaking of the day these crooks died, she was wearing the wedding ring Roy Thornton, her husband, gave her back in September 1926. The couple tied the knot only 6 days before her 16th birthday, but their marriage didn’t have a chance.
Her partner had major problems with the authorities, and he was imprisoned for his bad behavior. Even though they never officially split up, they lost contact with each other after January 1929. One thing is for sure: Bonnie loved Clyde, but she never removed Thornton’s wedding band from her finger.
