3. Ted Cruz’s father was somehow involved
This is a new one. Or at least as new as it can get. It was the 2016 election when Donald Trump was a candidate in the presidential election. In the same year, he implied that the father of his fellow Republican candidate, Ted Cruz’s father, was somehow involved in the JFK assassination as an associate of Lee Harvey Oswald.
During a phone interview for Fox News, Donald Trump said that Rafael Cruz, the younger brother of Ted Cruz, was seen with Lee Harvey Oswald before the incident of November 22, 1963. He claims that all of this has been reported and that everybody refuses to talk about it.
Later on, when he was giving remarks in Cleaveland, Ohio, Trump stated that he did nothing wrong. He just pointed out all of these things that are public. Trump said that there is a picture of Rafael Cruz and Oswald having breakfast on the cover of the National Enquirer.
Now, if you are wondering why Trump believes that the National Enquirer is a trusted source, you should know that his good friend David Pecker owns the tabloid. The former president stated that if the New York Times had published the reporting, they would have won a Pulitzer Prize for it.
