6. He met Eva Braun when she was only 17
Adolf Hitler met Eva Braun when she was only 17 years old. At that time, he was still dating Angela Raubal, about whom Eva will be jealous soon enough. Her boss, Heinrich Hoffmann, who served as the Nazi Party’s official photographer, introduced Braun to Hitler. She had just graduated from convent school and was working as a photographer’s assistant at the time.
In 1929, they quickly began dating, and their first outing took place at the opera, a venue Adolf usually frequented. Following Angela Raubal’s suicide soon after their first date, Eva Braun became his mistress.
7. He asked a private investigator to look for her family roots
Because of his very well-known ideas of what “pure race” meant, after he met Eva Braun, he asked a trustworthy investigator to make sure she was from a pure German family. Even if the initial investigation proved that her family was formed only by German descendants, other DNA reports showed that she actually had some Jews in her family, probably some distant relatives from her grandparents.
