4. Maria Reiter, another underage mistress of the Fuhrer
Another less-known mistress of Adolf Hitler was Maria Reiter. They met in 1926, when she was only sixteen years old. Apparently the girl was working in a shop at that time, helping her poor family. Without any remorse or common sense, Hitler started to flirt with her; moreover, he also insisted on taking the discussions to another level despite her being underage.
Two years later, they started dating for real, and various sources said that he liked her even more than Eva Braun, but when she said she wanted to marry him and he refused, they ended the relationship.
5. Unity Mitford: first mistress who wasn’t German
As we previously mentioned, Hitler was pretty popular among women from all over the world, not just Germany. But most of his mistresses were German. The only exception was Unity Mitford, who was from England. At one of his rallies, Mitford, the sister-in-law of Britain’s most prominent fascist leader, first encountered Adolf Hitler and was immediately charmed.
Mitford relocated to Munich and started going to his favorite restaurant because she was so desperate to chat with and meet Hitler. She was ultimately invited to join him after some time spent eating at separate tables. She quickly gained popularity among his acquaintances and associates, and as a result, she frequently joined him at celebrations.
This was definitely something new for him. He began to appreciate her even more, which was not surprising given that she soon began to write articles for a Nazi journal where she stated her hatred for Jews and the fact that England is quite full of them.
When World War II started, she begged him not to start a war with her country, but he ignored her. To draw attention towards her, she tried to kill herself, but without success because she was taken to a nearby hospital just in time.
