Griselda Blanco

Miami was terrified of Griselda Blanco back in the day. Despite her “humble” beginnings in the mafia world, as she was a prostitute and pickpocket, she soon became one of the most notorious gangsters in the area, rising to infamy as a cold-blooded murderer and narcotics smuggler. She was highly intelligent and ran an empire out of importing and selling cocaine, raising her crime syndicate from the ground and earning her the nickname “Cocaine Godmother.”

She may not have seemed like anything special, but in reality, she was no joke. Apparently, Griselda had connections all the way back to Columbia, from where she sourced her drugs, and even after she was imprisoned for all her crimes, she continued to run her empire from behind bars!
