2. Bad clothing choices
When you are the first lady of the United States, you have to follow a specific dress code and wear clothing items that make you look elegant, decent, stylish, and always put together.
Melania Trump was always dressed in beautiful clothes that looked really good on her, but the problem is that she wore them in all sorts of weird and inappropriate situations.
For example, something like this happened when she went to Nairobi in 2018 and wore a pith hat, which many people associate with colonial oppressors; she missed the mark.
In contrast, one of her most iconic outfits made a statement without even trying to. She donned a Zara jacket that said, “I don’t really care, do you?” when visiting detained children at the United States border. Many people were turned off by the fact that her husband didn’t seem to care that he was breaking up families.
When people commented on the fact that she didn’t care about those children and that she used her jacket to say so, she denied all the accusations and said that the message written on her jacket had nothing to do with the way she felt about the whole situation.

The Trumps broke many traditions while occupying the White House. One thing that wasn’t mentioned here: Melania trashed Jackie Kennedy’s rose garden, which really upset lots of people, including me!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have to say that Melania’s end result of the garden was absolutely spectacular. She had to clear a lot of things to get it that way, and haters are gonna hate from the get-go. But her final transition was splendid. People who don’t like it feel that way becasue of TDS.

When you face the fact that many of the people who chose clothes for the first lady refused to help her during Trumps first administration, it makes sense that some of her choices were not great. You never saw her in clothes that were revealing and always were tasteful. She looked very good in everything she wore.
