What do you think about the popular case of OJ Simpson?

OJ Simpson was once known for being a fast and elusive American football player. He was born on July 9th, 1947, and is a former NFL player, running back for the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers. He also played in 2 Rose Bowls and earned the Heisman Trophy during his undergraduate career (1968).

He used to be popular in the U.S. because of how well he did in sports, but now he might be best known for being on trial for killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. Even though the sportsman was found not guilty of the crimes at trial, he was held accountable for both deaths in a civil trial.

    1. There is no evidence. The glove and spot of blood under the dash are not evidence since the police showed racist bias that meant they could have easily planted it. Time timeline is off, and he could not have gotten back to his house in time to be picked up for the ride to the airport.

    2. As per Cochran: “If the glove doesn’t fit, you have to acquit. He was not found not guilty, he was acquitted which means there was not enough evidence to bring him to trial in the first place.

      1. That was the stupidest claim made as well as heard and not disputed by the prosecution and anyone else within the courtroom at that time. I am a retired architect now but grew up delivering newspapers in the City of Chicago for many years in the late1960’s and early 1970’s. Winter in Chicago is cold, wet and snowy so gloves were a must. Sometimes, I had leather gloves and they would get wet. As a result, they would shrink as they dried out and did not fit the same. Wet leather has been used to tie things together, which then tightens up as the leather dries out…..”shrinkage”. Moisture, whether it is water or blood would have the same effect. Noone ever mentioned this fact in the trial and it is astounding to think that it could be rationally disputed by an uneducated,
at the time, “newpaper boy”! As such, “guilty”.

    3. Yes, he did it!! A jealous hateful crime committed by the husband. He over killed both of them in the most awful manner a crime of passion couldn’t been painted any clearer. But each individual in that murder trail that play a part of proving this monster innocent had their day of judgment in the worst way.

    1. Why do you say that? It seems to me if he did a 2nd person had to be there with him.

I know of course it seems like it had to be him. But I don’t know. I certainly can’t say I *know* that he’s innocent, but I won’t say he’s guilty either.

  1. I think he was guilty, but not beyond any doubt. Maybe not even beyond a reasonable doubt. Explanations for the blood evidence are dubious. Esp. that police planted evidence, of which there’s no direct evidence.

    1. There is direct evidence when the blood splattered around which became part of the evidence had EDTA in it which is an artificial anticoagulant ! Only Heparin which our body produces should be in blood samples found as evidence ! And OJ had given the POLICE blood samples which the POLICE LAB would have and also some of his samples had come up missing ? Sounds Suspicious to me ! So even if and I do mean if he did it that alone is enough for me to FLAT LINE REASONABLE SUSPICION or REASONABLE DOUBT ! Which now makes him INNOCENT and not GUILTY BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT ! RIGHT ?

    2. There was NO direct evidence the police planted anything! They were all star struck by him from the beginning!! He was guilty! Why run?? I would have blown out his tires from the get go! He brutally killed his kids mother and his jealousy killed an innocent man!! May he rot in hell!!

    3. Well it certainly was suspicious they didn’t have blood evidence until they drew his blood. Then the detective drove back to the crime scene with the blood when the laboratory was three miles in the opposite direction. The police and their crap investigation is why he was found not guilty and not because he didn’t do it. Blame corruption once again people.

    4. The guy was guilty as sin. There was a mountain of evidence against him, people who don’t want to see it that way are in denial. I followed the case live as it happened and reviewed it countless times, I always get to the same conclusion”Guilty”without any minuscule doubt.

    1. Well then you’ll say I don’t have any common sense because he was found *not guilty*. Civil cases shouldn’t be allowed .

    2. Have you ever read about NICOLE BROWN SIMPSON had HIRED a man to paint her new place which was later on found to have killed many many women ! Yes, that right he was supposedly a home improvement guy that fixed and painted ! And she just so happened to have used him around when all of this actually happened ! And he even admitted that he was serial killer and that he had killed NICHOLE BROWN SIMPSON and her BOYFRIEND RONALD GOLDMAN ! So when people act as if they know everything and know nothing of this information then I automatically write them off ! I DON’T KNOW MYSELF and NEITHER DO YOU or the POLICE or ANYONE ELSE ! ONLY OJ, NICHOLE BROWN SIMPSON, and RONALD GOLDMAN really KNOW FOR SURE AND EVERYONE ELSE IS JUST GUESSING UNLESS THE SERIAL KILLER WAS TELLING THE TRUTH ?

    3. I believe honestly fir a long time thst he was innocent. It was me and my father in law who thought that OJ would be caoablf of such a horrible crime..Peoole told me I qas crazy but I saw on TV when he was acquitted , he didn’t look like a man who was relieved and gratdful he was found not guilty. The look on his face was onf of z man who got away with murder vecause he an excellent law team.No other susoects were picked up by the poluce. The years later OJ breaks into some guy’ s house and commits armed robbery.Case closed

      1. I had the same feeling. Perhaps OJ had help. The saddest part is how violently both victims died & the sweet children left without their Mother. So sad, an American tragedy.

    4. Glen,

When OJ played for the Buffalo Bills, I was his biggest fan, as at the time I klived 75 miles fro Rich Stadium, and was able to see OJ play, many times. I want ton believe OJ was innocent, but now have reservations, and now think he was the killer of both Nicole and Ron Gloldman. My wife and I were in Lake Tahoe, and happened to stop by a sports memorability store displaying an autographed OJ helmet. I asked the sore owner “do you really think you can sell anything OJ has autographed? His answer was, I don’t just think I know I will sell whatever OJ signed items I can get. He went on and said “you must be one of those guys, who believe OJ was guilty and then added OJ killed no one,,, but his son did! When asked how he knew OJ’s son was the killer, he said I know OJ personally, and have visited him in jail, where he said his son. had killed both Nicole and Ron, due to the poor way she had treated OJ. I asked him if he really believed OJ was not the kjlller, hen answered I have known OJ since the first time he touched a football, and never once lied, so yes I do believe him saying he s not who killed anyone, the police need to take, another look to find the killer of the two people Ihave been falsely accused and arrested for.

    5. But, answer this how come Simpson didn’t have any physical marks on him, no defensive marks on him?? Ron Goldman was a black belt in karate he had visible bruises on his knockers. O. J. Simpson did not kill his wife or Ron Goldman not even close to killing her or Goldman no physical evidence was present only circumstantial evidence. California has a history for not telling the truth for all we know it might have been a cop or serial killer or the cartel., who knows two lives where taken from both families that left open wounds instead of going after the right one who committed these crimes the prosecutor went after the husband because the husbands is always the guilty one while the real killer or killers gets away. The only thing O.J. Simpson is guilty of is forgetting who he is. Evidence nor proof didn’t support his claims for murdering his estranged wife and Ron Goldman it was no physical evidence present period prosecution tried to make the circumstantial evidence enough to charge Simpson with murder but it backfired.

    1. No one saw OJ return to his home before being picked up for the airport, so it is not known if he came in the front, back, or over the fence.

    2. Because the limousine was there to take him to the airport. He didn’t want the driver to see him. He absolutely did it.

  2. It was obvious that He was Guilty, but They didn’t want to convict him because of the Rodney King Riots the year before. They were afraid they would have them again if they convicted O. J.

    1. Was the Rodney King incident introduced as defense evidence in the OJ trial? NO! The jurors based their verdict on the evidence presented by both side. What wasn’t allowed and agreed on by both sides not to present was evidence of Nicole’s drug use and drug debts. That’s because he did not want his children exposed to any negativity about their mother. Now, if that evidence was presented the verdict would’ve been the same. Reasonable doubt. Not Guilty.

  3. OJ actually admitted he did both murderers once to his lawyer in earshot of a C.O. & upon the not guilty finding, knowing he couldn’t be tried twice criminally, he admitted it at a party he threw for the jurors. Bragging about it.

You would think these jurors with little to nothing in common with OJ would have acted astonished, however, OJ showered all of them with money and expensive gifts and friendship with a once famous athlete/actor.

It’s a form of The Stockholm Syndrome that kicked in and the jurors kept siding with OJ despite knowing first hand he was guilty. OJ painted a picture of his needing to kill them lest he be killed which was untrue.

OJ’s guilt manifested in his PTSD/Anxiety of a guilty conscious. He started committing all manners of crimes OUI, B&E night-time to steal his trophies back, drunk & disorderly behavior and more.

OJ was in & out of lockups and prisons ever since, looking disheveled.

This is common behavior for a guilty man freed on a technicality.

As a member of the law enforcement community I could go on about evidence proving his guilt but one thing stands out.

Police Detective Mark Furhman is a terrible, Potential Neo-Nazi bigot. He is on record stating that he believes men of color to be inferior, animals as he put it.

For the system to work OJ had to go free criminally because of the prejudices of the LAPD which were disgraceful.

But Karma is real and O.J has already been becoming mentally unstable, unhappy, fearful and maladjusted.

No one here gets out alive, and what comes around, goes around.

    1. WoW that’s the most detailed explanation and viewpoint I ever heard. I hope he ‘Repented’ before he died otherwise he sure has a hot cell in Hell right now. What you said about the Bigoted LAPD, sounds like they shot themselves in the foot, due to their unprofessionalism and racism, a guilty man goes free.

    2. It’s DISGUSTING how RIDICULOUS AND CORRUPT THE AMERICAN CRIMINAL JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS!! This is yet ANOTHER example of it. Just as Biden has now pardoned his son from SEVERAL SERIOUS FELONIES that WOULD have put ANY NORMAL citizen in prison for the majority of their lives. Just as a cop restraining a man twice his size crazed out and highed up on fentynal and crystal meth is now in prison serving a lengthy prison term. Just as all the people that have been PUT TO DEATH and then later being PROVEN INOCCENT THROUGH NEW TECHNOLOGY AND FORENSICS. I can go on and on, there is NO JUSTICE in our “Justice” system

    3. That’s nonsense. What evidence do you have and why after all this time I’m hearing about this. And since you are a member of the law enforcement community I don’t find you credible anyway. Personally I don’t think he did it but he knew who did it

    4. Nonsense. Juror information is never given out, there could not have been any party for any jurors, and they all would have been arrested if such a party had happened.

    5. While I believe he didn’t do the actual killings…I do believe he did order &/or pay for the killings. And you are VERY correct that Mark Furhman is terrible but more appropriately put, he’s an “asshole”, as I transcribed 2 of his interviews. There were also some things that were NOT brought up at trial that showed more planted evidence and people interviewed favorable to OJ not called during the trial. Thanks for all your insights…🦢

    6. While I believe he didn’t do the actual killings…I do believe he did order &/or pay for the killings. 7. Did you just make up a bunch of random things and use them to support a judgemental and flawed opinion on his guilt without using any actual evidence. I’m not even saying that he did it or didn’t do it, but a lot of the statements you made seem to be completely fabricated or unsupported opinions.

I would want to see sources on the information about the jury and also being overheard admitting. Also for every piece of information you mentioned I have heard something equally impactful related to his innocence from the exclusion of important findings that were kept from being talked about like there being no blood in the vehicle when inventory wa done but then later all this blood was there, the glove found by who you agree was a very biased and corrupt man.. the same man who entered the crime scene for some reason and was repeatedly told he couldn’t be where he was until they photographed the scene and cataloged evidence. Then they find more evidence right where he was standing even though nobody saw it moments earlier before he had entered.. without any reason to have entered that area..

After how many times we have seen video evidence of law enforcement planting evidence why wouldn’t it be conceivable that this specific officer with all his issues may have planted evidence to frame OJ. As far as OJ’s later behavior I can only say that many of his issues are far more of a fit with the exact opposite of what you claim. Somebody innocent, but wrongly convicted or even just innocent and falsely believed by most of society to be guilty would be likely to have all these characteristics and end up with those
      kind of issues.

The self-fulling prophecy of deviance is one way I’ve seen it explained. Plus the added stress you would carry living out life in a world where nobody believed you would be overwhelming. Guilty people who got away with their crimes often don’t care what people think because they escaped the consequences and anything they do deal with was deserved and in some way they know they got lucky. Being innocent and facing all the consequences and judgement for crimes you didn’t commit can ruin a person and lead to tons of issues. One thing we can agree on is Mark F ruining any chance for us to learn the truth. At best his flaws and issues tained the case at the trial level at worst his planting of evidence and gross abuse of his position to frame somebody of the crime. Regardless of which of those scenarios was more accurate one thing stands true in either case, it’s easy to say he is a terrible person.

  4. I do not know if he was guilty or not but bad things happen when people get involved in mixed races. That is what happened at University of Utah. Then they sue the police and schools for their own dumbness.

    1. This whole case remains a strange mystery, mark Ferman also help to taint the case that bigot..this is my opinion very sad 2 lives were loss

    2. What a racist you are sir…what does mixing of the races have to do with anything? You my man are a shitty excuse for a man or even human. Go live in a cave somewhere because rases have been mixing for centuries. Dumb Ass

  5. I have a theory about the glove, You put blood on a leather glove and it will shrink the leather. I was a meat cutter for 40 years, if I cut my finger and had it wrapped to try and play golf the bandage would come loose and get blood on the glove, I could not get the glove on again as the fingers would shrink and I would have to throw the glove away. Yes I finally learned not to play golf if I had cut a finger. I have said this since O J got off with murder. Pays to have a smart lawyer!!

    1. That’s the biggest load of crap from someone saying they KNOW. You don’t know crap just like the rest of us. Making crap up solves nothing, he’s dead and will be judged just like everyone of us.

    2. It is very unlikely that the real murder would leave one glove at the scene and take other glove to OJ’s back yard. So the gloves were most likely planted and not evidence of anything else. The real murderer would not leave a glove at the scene, and would not leave a bloody glove in his back yard. The glove act in OJ’s favor, not against him.

  6. He was guilty no matter what some people think. The state made too many mistakes at this trial. Two murders 1 trial for each. He gets off the first time you still have another person to try him on. Mark Ferman do your homework before you put somebody on the witness stand. Marcia Clark thought she had this case won before the trail. Not so not when you are dealing with a celebrity and a former NFL player. She made to dang many mistakes and he walked he will answer for his crimes someday and this judge may have another ruling. The family of these two people who were taken to soon are whom we should be thinking of. Not OJ Simpson we all reap what we sow in the end so will he.

  7. Guilty!! A lot of evidence that was overlooked. Crime of the century! There was no justice for Nicole and her friend. Shocking that OJ got away with these two horrific murders

    1. Obviously guilty. All evidence led right up to his doorway and into his bedroom with blood evidence of Nicole, Rob, and OJ. Guilty as sin !

    2. WRONG, he didn’t get away with ANYTHING ! He was found INNOCENT by a JURY of his PEERS ! So INNOCENT IS INNOCENT ! Not GUILTY ! If you’re going to try and call someone GUILTY that was found INNOCENT then what are they even having TRIALS ! Why not just capture them and allow the people to KILL THEM ? Maybe because it has been found many many times that after someone has been found GUILTY and sentenced to DEATH that while actually on DEATH ROW DNA has been found and they check the person on DEATH ROW’S DNA and the VERDICT OVER TURNED AND THE INNOCENT WHICH WAS FOUND GUILTY AT THE TIME GETS LET OUT OF PRISON AND THE GUILTY PARTY GETS ARRESTED AND SENT TO JAIL !
