2. Cannibalism
Before going further into the subject, we want to clear some things up. Our main goal is not to minimize the effect the Nazis had on the world or to say that they weren’t that evil, because that would be nothing but a lie.
We mainly want to show some evidence based on our research that proves there were plenty of other evil masterminds people aren’t that familiar with.
Another reason that shows that maybe Imperial Japan was worse than the Nazis is that during WWII, they practiced cannibalism. Even though it took a while for reports of Japanese cannibalism to surface during World War II, the number of incidents is alarmingly high.
It’s interesting to point out that the Japanese themselves were pretty keen on finding stuff about their history. That’s why Toshiyuki Tanaka, a Japanese historian whose work was previously considered “too sensitive” for publication in Japan, discovered more than 100 instances of Japanese Imperial Army personnel eating enemy soldiers and civilians.
Tanaka discovered that although the Japanese troops frequently had plenty of food, they were occasionally cut off from the supply lines and hungry. Instead, they consumed those imprisoned to bond with their squad or to celebrate a triumph.
If that wasn’t enough to prove that Imperial Japan was worse than the Nazis, remember the fact that former President George H.W. Bush was one of the survivors of the Chichijima Incident.
