Kamala Harris’ father is Jamaican and her mother is Indian. Her mother. Shyamala Gopalan, emigrated from India in 1960 to attend the University of California, Berkeley, and pursue a doctorate in endocrinology.
It’s important to note that both of her parents were involved in the Civil Rights Movement.
Harris proudly shared on her social media accounts that her parents are why she chose to take to the streets to fight for justice. Her parents laid the path for her and she became the second Black woman ever elected to the United States Senate. That is when Harris began to write history.
Even though the fight for justice continues, Kamala Harris strongly believes change is possible.
When she was just 7 years old, her parents decided to divorce. Harris wrote in her book, “The Truths We Hold” that they didn’t have serious reasons to fight about and never fought about money. The parents took different paths but her father remained a part of their lives. Harris and her sister lived with their mother who shaped them into the women they both became.

So this article was place just to sell her book. Even Nancy Pelosi did not like Harris when Harris was California AG for letting a police killer from being place on death row. One of many settlements to keep her numbers on the win side.

I selected this article because I really wanted to know more about Kamala, but this article told me nothing. On TV, I watch and listen to her speak, but I learn nothing. I watched her interview with
BB, and only learned that she hates Trump. I don’t dislike or like her, but, at this point, I can not
give her my vote.

Her “bestselling” book contains pictures of “relatives” that aren’t her relatives, she has white family that she doesn’t even mention in her book, and really puts on a black face to win those votes so you should do you due diligence and fact check her book before you go recommending it to people to learn more about her “family”

You did not go back to the relatives who lived Jamaica. My understanding was that they owned Slaves many years ago. Why did you not go back to the early relatives and show whether they owned slaves and in that way with her desire to give Reparations, she could begin with her own family to pay reparations. Kamella is the perfect example and a true hero for Aferican Amerocan women. I am a Jamaican American educated woman. I love the culture I was raised in and I did support her in her quest for the presidency. She is a great example for all women in this cuntry period. I watched her campain and was very happy to support her.
